Message from CEO

Welcome to our first newsletter for 2009. While economic storm clouds continue to gather, our industry is continuing to show some resilience. Displaysearch, a leading analyst, has just forecast growth for the digital signage industry of over 40% this year, citing advertisers desire to get closer to the point of purchase and retailers desire to reduce costs and increase basket size. While the overall number of vendors may be consolidating, the number of digital signs continues to show strong growth and we are excited about continuing to service this growth.

We are pleased to say that 2008 was a record year for EnQii in sales and client growth and this has continued in 2009. We have won several new clients in January including Prime Digital Media in Australia, on the back of which we have opened our Melbourne office. We also cemented the large financing round we closed at the end of last year with Silicon Valley Bank providing us further funding and joining the other new funders. Finally David Hearn joined as as our Chairman - and you can hear more from him in this newsletter.

We have also just been voted the number one global digital signage software provider for the second year in a row by the influential DailyDOOH publication. This was a real honour and shows faith in our new platform and ability to stay ahead of the competition in meeting customer needs. We demonstrated our new platform - EnGage - at the Digital Signage Expo in Las Vegas in February and it was extremely well received by the market and our current customers. This month we launch our new integrated music and video product - James Abdool talks more about that in this newsletter.
