Message from CEO

Welcome to our first half review for 2009. Having grown the business significantly since last year, we knew this year would be different. We started the year with a cautious outlook – even though forecasts for the Digital Out of Home (DOOH) space remained bullish, it was still rather unclear how they would pan out in the difficult economic environment.

We are very pleased to announce that we have had an excellent first half of the year at EnQii, particularly in three areas – new client wins, launch of our new EnGage technology platform and the creation of our global advisory board. This shows that the industry is maturing from the early days of experimentation in digital out of home, to the more strategic use of digital signage, which really focuses a broader array of communication benefits to maximize ROI generation.

On the new client front, I am very pleased to announce that we have rolled out ten major new clients in the first half of the year. What is particularly significant about these is that along with the industry maturing, large corporations are emerging in the space and beginning to roll out digital signage as the benefits it brings for their businesses become more prevalent. Included in these is the likes of McDonald’s. Additionally, we have continued our growth in the health sector with significant rollouts for Care Media, Take Care Health, Spectrum Health Network, Cruise Media and the newly signed Health Media Network. We give brief descriptions of how these companies are using Digital Signage later in this newsletter.

We are also pleased to update you on our EnGage platform. As the industry evolves, the demands on the software will continue to increase. The EnGage platform has been developed to provide the most effective advertising, merchandising, and communication tools for our customers while continuing to deliver at the lowest cost of ownership. EnGage’s key focus is to provide the most effective way of influencing the customer at the point of purchase and engagement and as part of this, we have partnered with Tru-Media in North America and Europe to provide effective monitoring and dynamic playlist management depending on who is looking at the screen.

Finally, we are delighted to announce the establishment of our new advisory board. The board brings together senior industry practitioners to help advise our clients. The board counsels on various topics ranging from the most effective advertising sales strategy and how digital merchandising can be made to provide the best returns, to operating effectively in China.

We continue to remain cautious for the rest of the year, although there appear to be signs of optimism in the economy. I would like to thank our customers and partners for making us their solution of choice and we will ensure that we continue to deliver for them.

Best,

Ajay Chowdhury
