David Hearn
Chairman


David was born and educated in the UK and graduated from Oxford University with a first class honours degree in English. After periods in Procter and Gamble, Johnson Wax and Sterling Drug in the marketing function, David joined Del Monte Foods in the UK as CEO. Transferring within the larger RJR/Nabisco group, David became CEO of the Smiths Snackfood Company which was eventually purchased by Pepsico.

David moved to Barcelona to run Pepsico’s entire food businesses in Europe and then came back to the UK to head up United Biscuits businesses in Europe and Asia/Pacific. David was headhunted to join Goodman Fielder as CEO in Australia, which he ran for 7 years until 2001. He transformed the business from an unfocused broad based international food group, into a focused, branded retail business, concentrating on the Australasian region.

David moved to New York, firstly as Chairman and CEO of Bates Advertising and then as the Group CEO of the Cordiant Group, which was the 5th largest global media and marketing services group. Having initiated the eventual sale of the company to WPP, David stayed on with the group, to facilitate the integration process and thereafter moved his family back to the UK. He is currently CEO of Committed Capital, an international private equity and advisory firm.


Ajay Chowdhury
Chief Executive Officer


Before joining EnQii, Ajay co-founded Acacia Capital Partners and IDG Ventures Europe, the European venture capital arm of IDG, the world's leading IT media publisher. Prior to starting IDGVE, Ajay was European President and CEO of NBC Internet - a NASDAQ quoted integrated media company - and was responsible for setting up their European operations.

Prior to joining NBCi he was Chief Executive of LineOne - a joint venture between United News and Media and British Telecom - which he helped grow into one of the UK's largest portals and Internet Service Providers and which was subsequently sold to Tiscali.

He joined United News and Media in 1991 and was founder and Managing Director of United Interactive - its new media division. United Interactive grew to encompass Anglia Multimedia, one of the UK's leading educational publishers; Definition Digital Media, a UK web agency; and AngliaCampus, an online educational service for schools and homes, which were subsequently sold to Granada PLC.

Before joining United, he was a manager at Bain & Company, the international management consultants where he ran projects in Japan, Hong Kong, Korea, Germany and the UK.

Ajay has an MBA from Wharton and a Bachelor of Commerce from Bombay University. He studied Theatre Directing at the Central School of Speech and Drama and Film Directing at the Metropolitan Film School at Ealing Studios.

Ajay serves on the board of the Arts Council (London) - the national development agency for the arts in London, distributing public money from Government and the National Lottery. He is also Artistic Director of the Rented Space Theatre Company and an executive committee member of the British Screen Advisory Council. He has also served on the boards of Lionhead Studios (sold to Microsoft in April 2006), Shazam Entertainment, MLA (Museums, Libraries and Archives Commission), Index on Censorship and Virtual Internet PLC (sold to Register.com in February 2002).

In 2005, Ajay was selected by the Institute of Asian Professionals to be part of the Asian Power 100 - the 100 most influential and powerful Asians in the UK.


Tom Hawkins
Chief Financial Officer


Tom Hawkins was previously Chief Financial Officer of NESTA (the National Endowment for Science, Technology and the Arts). At NESTA he was responsible for managing their £300m endowment and overseeing a major reorganisation including the creation of a £50m seed and early stage venture fund.

Before joining NESTA, Tom was a divisional Chief Financial Officer with Lagardère for 8 years, joining after the successful sale of a venture-backed business to the French-listed media and technology group.

His experience ranges from start-ups to large multinational groups, with a particular focus on fast-growing global communications businesses, and has included spells in Paris, Hong Kong and London.

Tom is a prize-winning chartered accountant. He has Masters degrees in Mathematics from Cambridge and in Management from London Business School (Sloan Fellow with distinction).





Frank Böhnke
Non Executive Director


Frank Böhnke joined pan-European venture capital firm Wellington Partners in January 1998. Ever since, he has focused on the dynamics of the internet and has helped companies like Alando (acquired by eBay) and Ciao! (acquired by Greenfield Online) to impressive success. Based in London, Frank is managing the following investment companies in the high growth areas of Digial Media and Software Services: AdConion, Astaro, Collax, GameDuell, SafeID Solutions, Swoopo, Swyx, Wazap!, and Webme.

Prior to joining Wellington Partners, Frank spent eight years in technology investment banking at J.P. Morgan in New York, London and Frankfurt where he advised customers such as IBM, Bertelsmann and Siemens on numerous M&A mandates and helped many technology companies to achieve NASDAQ listings. Wellington portfolio companies have gained from his experience in this field; for example, Frank helped portfolio companies ACG and SAF to successful IPOs at the German stock exchange.

Education: Degrees in Economics and Business Administration from the Universities of Essen and Toronto.


Jeppe Zink
Non Executive Director


Jeppe Zink is a partner at Amadeus,focusing on software and new media investments. Since joining Amadeus in 2003, Jeppe has worked on several transactions for the firm and is currently on the board of:

•   Tobii, the global leader in eye tracking solutions;
•   Enigmatec, a market leader in virtualisation management software;
•   Agillic, a leading SaaS vendor for interactive dialogue marketing;
•   EPiServer, a leading web content management vendor.

Jeppe is also involved with: Celltick Technologies, a pioneer in active content marketing to mobile devices; Covestor, a real trade sharing service; and MyDeco, UK's leading home design portal. Exits include End2End Mobile (sold to MACH) and Quadstone (sold to Portrait Software plc).

Previously Jeppe worked with DB Capital Venture Partners, where he was a founder member. Jeppe also worked in different roles at Deutsche Bank, including their Principal Investments and M&A teams.

Jeppe graduated with an MA in Economics and Politics from Durham University. A native of Denmark, Jeppe has lived and worked in Denmark, Germany and England, is fluent in both Danish and English and speaks German.
